2-Day 1-Night Community Trekking, Boat Trip & Thailand-Myanmar Border
This tour program is based in Mae Sariang Town and focuses on exploring the Salween River and local Karen communities.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Border Journey, Salween River Boat Trip & Karen Village Homestay The journey begins at 08:30 AM with a drive to the Thai-Myanmar border, followed by a scenic boat trip on the Salween River. A 4–5 hour community trek starts at 10:00 AM, featuring a picnic lunch and a visit to a hidden waterfall. In the afternoon, guests arrive at a Karen hilltribe village to learn about their way of life, participate in a cooking experience, and stay overnight in a traditional homestay.
Day 2: Mountain Ridge Trek, Hilltribe Villages & Return to Mae Sariang Following a traditional Thai breakfast, the day involves trekking along a mountain ridge for panoramic views and visiting two additional local villages. The group then takes a long-tail boat back to the main pier and returns to Mae Sariang town by 03:15 PM.
